Our new Chandra Crescent Cushion is 100% eco-friendly, cruelty free, and handmade with non-toxic materials. It is uniquely designed to help you sit cross legged.
- Shaped to support knees, ankles and hips.
- Filled with 4.5 pounds of clean, US grown, 100% organic buckwheat hulls (most other buckwheat cushions are not organic, and all the residual chemicals compound in your meditation room!).
-You can add or take out the amount of buckwheat to adjust to your needs to make the seat height perfect for ourself. This process is made easy with a zipper and inner bag.
- The pillow cases are made from 100% hand spun and hand woven, vegetable dyed and very durable Khadi cotton from India.
- The top cushion cover has a large zipper that makes it very easy for washing. It can be hand washed (or delicate cycle) in cold water with mild detergent and line dried.
- The wide seat enables you to sit fully on top of the cushion and the buckwheat hulls move around enough to conform to the shape of your unique body and provide a very grounding feeling that is helpful for meditation.
- Our 100% wool Asana Meditation Mats are perfect to place under this cushion.
This cushion is designed by us at Supreme Swan. The covers are handmade in India and filled with organic buckwheat hulls from the USA.
All cushions have a 14 day limit for returns.

Traditional Context
Traditional Context
Paramahansa Yogananda specified in his lessons that the meditator should sit on a seat of wool and silk — materials understood in yogic tradition to insulate the body's pranic energy and resist the downward pull of earth currents. The cushion is not incidental to practice. It is where practice begins.
FAQ
FAQ
What height cushion is right for me?
As a general guide — if your knees float above your hips when seated cross-legged, choose a higher cushion. If your hips tilt forward naturally, a lower or wedge style may suit better. Contact us if you are unsure.
Can I wash the cushion cover?
The silk and wool cover should be spot cleaned only. Do not machine wash. Remove the cover carefully and allow to air dry flat away from direct sunlight.
Is the cushion suitable for chair meditation?
The wedge cushion works well on a chair — placed under the sitting bones it encourages the same forward tilt of the pelvis that supports upright posture.
How long will it last?
With daily use and proper care, several years at minimum. The inner fill can be replaced if needed — contact us and we will assist.

While attractive and inviting in my meditation space, this cushion delivers as promised when put to work. The hulls adjust easily to my size/comfort when I push them around. Once I am settled, the pad allows me to sit with less effort due to the ankle/knee/hip support and resulting ease of my (straight) spine. Plus no attention on feet falling asleep. I am delighted. Thanks!
Thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review for this cushion. Lot of care and thought has gone into making it. To hear that it’s helping you during your sadhana is meaningful to us
It's worth it.
I have been sitting on the floor for years but this helps me go longer without having to shift my position.
I removed some of the buckwheat hulls which was easy to do.
It's the first time I saw a cushion with the shape I needed and it's exactly the right idea.
