Rudraksha Malas have been considered sacred for centuries and worn by yogis and devotees of Shiva. The word 'rudraksha' literally means "tears of Rudra (Shiva)". The beads come from the seed of the Himalayan Rudraksha Tree. These malas are meant for counting prayers, mantras and kriyas. They are known to retain the positive vibrations of spiritual practice and are therefore worn in the body.
